Hi !

Carpelle is a non profit (Association Loi 1901 for the French around here ^^) that focuses on sharing ressource in French about veganic farming.

We started out translating Jenny Hall and Iain Tolhurst’s Growing green into French, under the title Sans fumier ! Manuel de maraîchage biologique sans intrant d’élevage pour un futur soutenable. You can find the translation’s pdf on our website sansfumier.com (Paperback copies are also available, if you’re interested, send us an email !). On our website you’ll also find a francophone bibliography on veganic farming (and compatible farming practices), as well as a map and list of veganic growers in francophone Europe.

Our aim as Carpelle are the following :

• Sharing content on stockfree organic farming for people who want to farm veganicaly or organic farmers that don’t have access to organic animal manure.
•   Allow exchanges within the organic farming world (and beyond) on a technical basis on the topic of plant based fertilization as well as on ways to minimize farms’ impacts on local biodiversity and ways to encourage it’s beneficial impacts on the crops.
• Allow for people farming, professionally or not, gardening as well as interested agronomists to meet up and share talk about constraints, solutions, experimentation and experience !
• To a lesser extent, share knowledge and advocacy on the importance of developing veganic farming practices for a vegan or non vegan audience.
