We moved in January 2026 so are new to our project. We have 2.2 acres of land with an existing small orchard. Have planted 200 native trees to create a small woodland, have a meadow, 2 ponds and are observing the land in 2026 with a hope to start growing 2027 onwards. We have a communal space for visitors who wish to volunteer with us, space for van hook ups and a 1 bedroom cottage available for rent or labour exchange.
We are Nutritarian, this means wholefood, plant based and organic and rarely sugar and salt with an aim to optimise our physical and mental health through the healing power of food and plant medicines. We also try and avoid consumerism, plastics and use natural products for cleaning, laundry, toiletries and where possible construction.
Mel is a trauma therapist, using trauma work and knowledge of plants, herbs, funghi and environmental toxins to heal our bodies and minds whilst respecting our planet.
Steve is a wheelchair user because of a spinal injury and is passionate about making the outdoors accessible for disabled people and being included in community projects.
We also home educate our 12 year old daughter.
“Our aim is to build a small community for work exchange volunteers to learn about looking after our minds and souls by growing and eating veganic as well as looking after the soil and nature around us.”
We look forward to hearing from you, Mel and Steve
